Presentation at the All Party Parliamentary Rail Group, November 2021. Our chair, Alistair Lees, was invited to present to MPs and Lords the IRR’s views on how rail recovery can happen, and what fares and ticketing reforms are needed to enable it. At the National Rail Recovery Conference early in 2021, Alistair Lees presented how the rail industry should focus on revenue recovery - and, especially, on how that needed to be done through winning new customers to rail (not just expecting to ‘bring passengers back’).
